From the track to the pitch, dozens of Parity athletes are striving to earn their place on the world’s biggest stage: the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Taylor Manson
An Olympic bronze medalist in the mixed 4x400-meter relay, Taylor Manson represented the U.S. at the Tokyo 2020 Games. A former World U20 champion and standout 400-meter runner, she brings both international experience and a strong sprint pedigree to the road toward LA28.
Nicole Heavirland
An Olympian and former U.S. rugby sevens captain, Nicole Heavirland represented the U.S. at the Tokyo 2020 Games after years competing at the highest levels of international rugby. Now, she is expanding her athletic journey by exploring shooting and flag football as potential paths toward LA28.
Marissa Papaconstantinou
A three-time Paralympian for Canada, Marissa Papaconstantinou won bronze in the T64 100 meters at the Tokyo Paralympic Games. The Toronto sprinter has also earned medals on the world championship stage and remains one of Canada’s leading Para athletes.
Ali Truwit
After losing part of her leg in a shark attack in 2023, former Yale swimmer Ali Truwit made an extraordinary return to competition. Just over a year later, she won two silver medals and set two American records at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
Olivia Reeves
One of the brightest stars in U.S. weightlifting, Olivia Reeves won Olympic gold at Paris 2024 in the women’s 71kg category. She also set an Olympic snatch record in Paris, cementing herself as a leading American contender heading toward LA28.
Rose Lavelle
A creative midfielder and one of the most recognizable players on the U.S. Women’s National Team, Rose Lavelle is an Olympic gold and bronze medalist. She is also a 2019 World Cup champion, scoring in the final to help secure the U.S. title.
Loryn Goodwin
A former professional basketball player turned elite flag football athlete, Loryn Goodwin made the U.S. national team just three years after taking up the sport competitively. With flag football making its Olympic debut at LA28, she is pursuing an opportunity to represent the U.S. on home soil.
Nikki Hiltz
One of the world’s leading middle-distance runners, Nikki Hiltz represented the U.S. in the 1500 meters at the Paris 2024 Olympics, finishing seventh. A Pan American Games champion and World Indoor Championships medalist, Hiltz remains a leading contender on the international stage.
Kristen Faulkner
A latecomer to elite cycling, Kristen Faulkner delivered one of the standout performances of Paris 2024 by winning Olympic gold in both the road race and team pursuit. She became the first American woman to win gold in two different cycling disciplines at the same Olympics.
Nicky Nieves
A two-time Paralympic champion, Nicky Nieves helped the U.S. women’s sitting volleyball team win gold at both Rio 2016 and Paris 2024. A longtime national team leader, she also served as a U.S. flag bearer at the Paris Paralympic Opening Ceremony.
Alanna Smith
An Australian national team standout and WNBA forward, Alanna Smith helped the Opals return to the Olympic podium with bronze at Paris 2024. Her performance earned her a place on the tournament’s All-Star Five as one of its top players.
